Idaho Falls Police have confirmed this incident was a suicide. They have also said there is nothing indicating any criminal act was committed. As per EastIdahoNews.com policy on suicides, no more information will be released about this case.

IDAHO FALLS — A large contingent of uniformed police officers and detectives are outside a residence on Maple Street in Idaho Falls.
Idaho Falls police and emergency personal responded to an apparent gunshot around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses and EastIdahoNews.com reporters observed one person was placed in an ambulance and was transported to the hospital.
Another person has been detained in a Idaho Falls police vehicle.
