POCATELLO — A Fort Hall man is in jail after police say he drove through several yards and struck a parked vehicle while he was trying to hit another person.

Pocatello police responded to a trailer court on Teakwood Street just after midnight Friday morning after getting reports of yelling and screaming.

Once officers arrived, they learned a man, later identified as William Tinno, 29, had driven through several yards and at least one fence attempting to hit someone.

Police spokeswoman Dianne Brush said Tinno did not hit his intended victim with the vehicle.

The two had been involved in a physical confrontation earlier. Tinno struck the man’s vehicle and left the scene before officers arrived, police said.

Officers were able to get a vehicle description from witnesses, a arriving officer saw Tinno’s vehicle and stopped him on the corner of Main and Kraft streets.

Tinno was arrested and booked in the Bannock County Detention Center on felony aggravated assault, felony aggravated battery, misdemeanor malicious injury to property and misdemeanor driving under the influence. Tinno had no bond as of Friday morning.

A passenger in Tinno’s car, Nekka Devinney, of Fort Hall, was also arrested for outstanding warrants.
