Blackfoot man killed after getting pinned under truck

BLACKFOOT — A 56-year-old Blackfoot man died in a tragic accident late last week.

Chief Deputy Jeff Gardner with the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office said Terry N. Freeman was working underneath a Ford Ranger pickup at his home on the 500 block of West Highway 26, near Blackfoot on Friday. While he was working on the vehicle it rolled backwards and pinned him underneath. He died at the scene.

Freeman’s wife found him later and called for help. Personnel with Bingham County Sheriff’s Office and the Blackfoot Fire Department responded, Gardner said.

According to Freeman’s obituary he “especially loved working with his hands and fixing whatever things were in need of his special touch.” He loved spending time with his family, the outdoors, and camping and enjoyed riding motorcycles, dune-buggies, four-wheelers, and his RZR and building and flying remote control airplanes.

He is survived by his wife of 35-years, three children and eight grandchildren.
