Idaho Falls man accused of threatening to shoot neighbor’s dog
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — Police arrested 54-year-old Rodney R. Newton for aggravated assault Tuesday evening after he allegedly threatened his neighbors with a BB gun.
According to police, officers responded to the 200 block of Ninth Street around 8:40 p.m. for a report of Newton threatening neighbors with a gun. One of the victims stated Newton came to their apartment with a gun and said he was going to shoot their dog if they didn’t keep him quiet.
Officers contacted and found Newton in possession of a BB gun that looked like a semi‐auto type pistol.
Newton, of Idaho Falls, was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
