Idaho Falls Man Arrested for Attempted Strangulation

IDAHO FALLS — Police arrested 20‐year‐old Anthony M. A. Mestas for felony attempted strangulation and domestic battery following an altercation Friday, April 1.
Mestas of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Vassar Way around 8:30 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance.
The victim reported she and Mestas got into an argument at which time he threw her against a wall, choked her and threw her down on the bed. Mestas also allegedly punched her in the face.
