Idaho Falls woman accused of trying to hit man with car

IDAHO FALLS– A 23‐year‐old woman was arrested after police say she threatened a man with a knife and later tried to hit him with her car.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Higbee around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday afternoon for a report of a past domestic situation. The 38‐year‐old victim said he and Nakita L. A. Avila, of Idaho Falls, got into an argument when he refused to give her money while together near Emerson and 15th Street.

Avila was contacted and arrested in the 200 block of Lomax, she was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on a felony aggravated assault charge. Her bond was set to $50,000.

Avila is due in court for a preliminary hearing May 6.
