Walgreens pharmacy robbery suspect arrested

AMMON – A 34-year-old man is in custody and charged in connection with a robbery that occurred at the Ammon Walgreens last October.

Kyle R. Gneiting, of Ammon, was was arrested Tuesday, April 19.

EastIdahoNews.com first reported the significant police response on the 3600 block of John Adams Parkway in Ammon. Details at the time were not available. Sheriff Paul Wilde had told EastIdahoNews.com that one person had been taken into custody and everyone involved is OK and safe.

Court records show a warrant for Gneiting’s arrest was issued on Tuesday. The warrant was for a felony robbery charge that took place Oct. 4, 2015.

In a news release the sheriff’s office confirmed Gneiting is a suspect in an armed robbery that took place in the early morning hours at the Ammon Walgreens. At that time, the sheriff’s office said a man robbed the pharmacy at gunpoint after hopping the counter.

Gneiting was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on a felony robbery charge and held on a $75,000 bond.
