IDAHO FALLS — A Boise man has been cited for enticing a child, a misdemeanor, after police received a report that he was playing with children and inviting them to his vehicle to see puppies.

Idaho Falls officers were called to Papa Tom’s on Woodruff Avenue on Saturday night after they got a call about a man playing with children and inviting them to his van to see puppies without the permission of their parents.

The man was identified as 36‐year‐old Antoni M. Dragotoiu.

“It was the scariest thing,” one parent, who asked not to be identified, told EastIdahoNews.com. “He asked a few different kids that were with us to go see his puppies. He made it look like he knew us so the kids were comfortable with him. Luckily none of the kids listened to him and came and told us.”

EastIdahoNews.com has tried to reach out to Dragotoiu for comment. We will post an update when we receive a response.
