IDAHO FALLS — Traffic on Holmes Ave. has been reduced to one lane after a two-vehicle crash on North Holmes and Stanley Street at about 5 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses say a green SUV was struck by another vehicle and rolled onto its side on top of a non-electrical support cable for a nearby power pole. It’s unclear how the accident happened.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene with local emergency responders. Idaho Falls Power was also on scene.

Sgt. Bryan Lovell confirmed one person was cited in the incident. One individual, who was in the SUV, was also transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

It is unknown how many occupants were in the vehicles.
