ORIGINAL STORY

AMMON — City officials have confirmed the new Ammon Splash Zone is temporarily closed down due to a malfunction Saturday.

Photos of the park show a pillar was knocked down. Ammon Parks and Recreation Director Ken Knoch told EastIdahoNews.com that city officials are working to repair damage.

It is unclear how the damage occurred, but city officials confirmed no one was injured.

Knoch was unsure when repairs would be completed or when the water park would open again.

The Ammon Splash Zone opened on Wednesday in McCowin Park.
