The following is a news release from the Rigby Police Department.

RIGBY — A single vehicle accident knocked over a light pole along Farnsworth Way on Thursday.

The Rigby Police Department reports officers responded to an accident at approximately 1:23 p.m. Corporal Detective Chris Martin arrived and found that a Blue, 2015 Chevy CTV, driven by Trisha Pennell, 45 of Rigby, had jumped the curb and hit a light pole and gone through approximately 30 feet of chain link fencing.

In talking with Martin, Trisha stated that she had gone to work at 3 a.m. that morning, and thought she had fell asleep. Detective Martin determined that there were no impairments, other than being tired. QRU arrived and attended to Trisha’s injuries, from the airbags deploying and a small cut.

No citations were issued, the vehicle was towed to Tadd Jenkins.
