Deputies respond to fatal rollover in Jefferson County

The following is a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
MENAN — Jefferson County deputies are investigating a one vehicle fatality accident that occurred at 800 North 3200 East in Menan on Wednesday morning.
Deputies and emergency responders arrived at the scene just before 11 a.m. for a report of a 1984 GMC pickup that had been discovered on its top, on the side of the road.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a female adult in the vehicle. It was apparent by the condition of the female that she was deceased. The female was later identified as Lisa Marie Paris.
The preliminary findings of the investigation show that Paris failed to negotiate the turn at the intersection 800 N and 3200 E. The vehicle then rolled and ended up on its roof. Paris was not wearing her seatbelt.
Blood samples were taken for toxicology and alcohol testing.
