Local VW group to deliver check to Idaho food bank

IDAHO FALLS — Local car enthusiasts are raising money for those in need.
The group of vintage Volkswagen owners don’t just spend their time cruising through town together — for years they have hosted food drives.
Last year during the Teton Volkswagen VW Invasion car show the group raffled off a 1969 VW Bug. The proceeds from that will be donated to the Idaho Falls food bank Friday, July 8.
“In previous years we have done a food drive for the food bank during the car show.” group member Jeremy Cutts tells EastIdahoNews.com “Last year we thought we would raffle off a car and give the money to the food bank.”
Those interested in cruising with the group can meet at Cutts’ business, Skeeters Auto Sales, located 3919 North Yellowstone in Idaho Falls at 6:30 p.m., and then travel together in a string of Volkswagen vehicles to the food bank.
After dropping off the check, the group will cruise to Costa Vida afterwards for dinner.
