UPDATE: Woman dies after crash on Highway 39

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

UPDATE 3:15 p.m.

Idaho State Police says the passenger, Kristy Lesch, has succumbed to her injuries.

A family member Chad Lesch is in critical condition.

ORIGINAL STORY

ABERDEEN — Idaho State Police are investigating a one vehicle crash southbound on State Highway 39, south of Aberdeen.

The accident occurred at 11:50 p.m. on July 26.

Police reports show Chad M. Lesch, 27, of Jerome, was driving southbound on State Highway 39 in a 2004 Hyundai Accent. Lesch lost control of the vehicle, and it rolled off the right shoulder of the roadway.

Neither Lesch, nor his passenger, Kristy L. Lesch, 31, of Aberdeen, were wearing seatbelts, and were both ejected from the vehicle. Both subjects were transported by ground ambulance to Power County Hospital District in American Falls.
