IDAHO FALLS — A tire shop employee allegedly ordered tires for himself but only paid a fraction of the cost.

Dallyn J. Robbins was arrested for grand theft after he stole more than $1,200 in tires from Sam’s Club, Idaho Falls police said Monday.

Robbins, of Idaho Falls, was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on Saturday.

Officers responded to Sam’s Club, on the 700 block of East 17th, on Saturday for a report of an employee theft.

The store’s loss prevention told police that Robbins had ordered four new tires, retail valued at $1,285, and fraudulently paid $60 for them on June 13.

As of Tuesday morning, Robbins was held on a $10,000 bond.
