Lanes open after 3-vehicle crash on I-15 near Blackfoot

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

On Thursday, July 21, 2016, at approximately 12:41 PM, the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle property damage crash on northbound interstate 15 at milepost 96, north of Blackfoot. Simon White, 50, of the United Kingdom, was traveling northbound in a 2017 Hyundai Elantra when he struck the rear of a 2002 Honda Accord driven by Chad Neilson, 77, of Ashton, Idaho. Neilson’s vehicle was then pushed into a 2013 Nissan Juke driven by Mark Kindler, 41, of Idaho Falls.

No injuries were associated with this crash. Occupants of all three vehicles were wearing their seatbelts. The left lane was blocked for approximately 1.5 hours. All lanes are now open.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a three vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 96, north of Blackfoot. The left lane of travel is currently blocked at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
