IDAHO FALLS — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday morning for the new Jackson Hole Junction development.

The 42-acre lot between Teton Toyota and I-15 on Sunnyside Road is expected to bring dozens of businesses and restaurants along with new jobs.

City officials, construction crews, business leaders and others were on hand Thursday for the groundbreaking.

The development was announced in June 2015 and Morgan Construction is spearheading the project.

Plans call for one big box store and a hotel, along with banks, a convenience store, fast food restaurants and sit-down restaurants. There will also be space for smaller retailers and some two-story offices.
