Spokane homicide suspect arrested in Blackfoot

BLACKFOOT -– Authorities have arrested a Pocatello man suspected of killing a woman and her brother in a Washington home Monday.

Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland confirmed that Gilberto Delgado, 44, was arrested this afternoon.

Delgado is a convicted felon from the Pocatello area with an extensive criminal background and listed as a fugitive with the Idaho Department of Correction.

On Monday, around 8:45 a.m., Spokane Valley Police received a 911 call from a young boy who said his mother and uncle had been killed. Deputies responded to a home on the 600 block of South Michigan in Spokane Valley and found a woman and man who had been shot to death.

Delgado is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, 155 pounds, with brown eyes and a shaved head. He has the name “Brenda” tattooed on one of his forearms.

He is possibly driving a newer black Dodge Dart with tinted windows and red pin striping. Investigators believe he could be on his way to the Pocatello area.

Delgado is believed to be armed and considered dangerous. According to the Idaho Department of Correction, Delgado has a lengthy criminal history in Power County that includes charges of injury to a child, escape, grand theft and aggravated assault. He was sentenced to prison until 2019 but released on parole in October 2015.
