The following is a news release from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.

IDAHO FALLS — As this fire event is moving eastward, in and toward the Fall Creek area, dispatch has made a reverse 911 call to residents along the south side of the Snake River from the Swan Valley River Bridge to Palisades Dam and the Bear Creek Summer Home area.

Because winds are unpredictable, tonight and through tomorrow, residents in that area are advised to monitor the fire and information from news alerts and be prepared in the event fire moves their direction.

These areas are at risk, but this is a long term preparation notice to allow ample prep time in the event of an emergency evacuation.

Sheriff’s Office deputies will be in that area contacting residents throughout the night.
