POCATELLO — A local man was arrested after he confronted a person on a swing set with a weapon.

Timothy Ritter, 50, was arrested by Pocatello Police Monday around 10:30 p.m. for allegedly confronting another person with a knife.

Pocatello Police say Ritter approached a person in a park near the 400 block of Grant Avenue. He appeared to be concerned about the person being in the park.

The person contacted police who responded to the area and charged Ritter with felony aggravated assault.

Ritter was booked in the Bannock County Detention Center and is held on no bond until he makes a first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
