IDAHO FALLS — A 59‐year‐old man was arrested Tuesday night for felony driving under the influence after he intentionally ran over his belongings.

Daniel Dobner was taken into custody on his third DUI charge.

Idaho Falls police say Dobner contacted them outside the police station on Capital Ave. and reported his truck had been stolen around 9 p.m.

Dobner claimed he and another man had been out drinking and the man took off with Dobner’s truck.

The truck was later located at Motel West.

Police say they began helping Dobner, who was intoxicated, find a place to stay for the night. While officers were speaking to the motel management, Dobner piled his belongings in the road of the parking lot and ran over them with his truck.

Dobner has two previous DUI convictions and was arrested on a felony DUI charge. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail and is being held without bond until his first court appearance this afternoon.
