BONNEVILLE COUNTY — A Bonneville County man fell off of a bridge into a creek and died while fishing Sunday night.
The fisherman was standing on a bridge near the Pine Creek Lodge at mile post 7 on Highway 31 when the accident happened, according to Bonneville County Sheriff Sgt. Bryan Lovell.
Deputies responded to the scene around midnight after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle parked near the bridge.
“The creek wasn’t very deep but it appears he fell approximately six or seven feet and hit his head on a rock in the shallow creek bed,” Lovell tells EastIdahoNews.com.
Investigators are in the process of contacting the man’s family before releasing his identity.
