Search support team to hold Oktoberfest fundraiser

IDAHO FALLS — A local non-profit search group is holding its annual Oktoberfest fundraiser, hosted by Idaho Brewing Company.
The event supporting Snake River Search Inc. will be held Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. at Idaho Brewing Company, at 775 S. Capital Avenue in Idaho Falls.
The family-friendly event offers a taste of German cuisine with bratwursts, sauerkraut, potato salad, and a glass of Idaho Brewing Company’s finest, including non-alcoholic beverages.
Additionally, various businesses throughout the community have donated to help offer an outstanding silent auction and raffle prizes.
Snake River Search team members will be available to show some of the team’s unique capabilities, including its nationally-certified search canines.
Tickets to the event are $10 and are available at the door.
Snake River Search, Inc. is a non-profit corporation headquartered in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The independent corporation serves to provide advanced search and rescue support services throughout the Intermountain West. According to its webpage, it provides support to Search and Rescue teams throughout the region by “employing advanced search techniques and conducting search and rescue related research and development.”
No member receives compensation for their time, supplies, clothing or the services they provide. The organization is funded totally by donations, grants, fundraisers and the contributions of its members.
