Survival Training Conference to be held in Rexburg

TETON — Backtracks, a Teton based company specializing in the teaching of traditional outdoor skills, will be hosting a special event for 100 pre-registered people interested in learning a variety of primitive, wilderness and survival skills.

A few of celebrities from some of the top survival TV shows will be there for the public to meet.

-From Naked and Afraid: Joe Brandl
-From National Geographic’s The Great Human Race: Cat Bigney
-From National Geographic’s Mygration: Dan Baird and Reza Allah Bakhshi
-From The History Channel’s Mountain Man: George Michaud and Tobias Corwin
-From The History Channel’s No Man’s Land: David Holladay

Also on hand will be specialists demonstrating skills ranging from hide tanning and flintknapping to how to make improvised fire and shelter for emergency situations.

Backtracks will be conducting it’s 29th annual Rabbitstick Primitive Skills Gathering the following week – this is where the experts meet – and is offering this limited preview so you can learn for yourself what it takes to survive in the wild outdoors.

The Survival Training Preview will be on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 12-5pm at 3000 N. 4000 W. in Rexburg.
