Idaho Falls man recovering after being hit by car

IDAHO FALLS — A 44-year-old Idaho Falls man is recovering after being hit by a car Friday night.
Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen says the man was crossing the 1500 block of West Broadway St. around 6 p.m. when he was hit by a car. He was not in a marked crosswalk, according to Hansen.
The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Because the city of Idaho Falls will not release his name, EastIdahoNews.com is unable to check on his medical condition.
The woman driving the vehicle has not been charged.
The crash occurred at the same location of another accident that claimed the life of a 67-year-old Jackson, Wyoming man Sept. 13.
Police say Joseph Anderson ran from the sidewalk into the road on the 1500 block of West Broadway and was struck by a black Chevrolet Cavalier being driven by a Blackfoot man.
Anderson was transported by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
