Parking violation fines increase in Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — Fines for parking violations in the city of Idaho Falls were raised for the first time in years on Saturday, Oct. 1.
A citation for parking illegally in Idaho Falls was five dollars but the fee is now $20.
A second unlawful parking citation within 30 days of prior citation used to only cost you $15. It will now cost $35.
Your third citation was $30. It has been raised to $50.
All other parking violations have been raised from $10 to $20.

The Idaho Falls City Council voted unanimously on Aug. 22 to raise fees throughout the city for the new fiscal year.
