POCATELLO — A historical building in ‘Old Town Pocatello’ will soon come back to life.

The light switch will be flipped on soon at the Yellowstone Hotel as a popular restaurant is moving in. The construction site will soon be the site of the new ‘Bridge’ restaurant.

Workers are busy finishing up the last touches of the 1,750 square foot location.

There are only a few details left before the past can meet the present.

“We are waiting on the exhaust system in the kitchen. That’s our big deal, but it’s almost done, so as soon as that gets done, we can install everything in the kitchen. We’re pretty much ready to go,” says Lisa Willmore, The Bridge Owner.

The new location has two full bars and an extended kitchen.

The Bridge owner is busy with other details like posting liquor licenses and hiring employees.

“I am way excited. It’s been a work in progress, but now that I see all the work is paying off. I’m just super excited to see the Yellowstone Hotel light up again,” says Willmore.

The owner of the Bridge says although they have had some challenges getting their new space open, they will be ready to go just in time for the holidays.

“December is one of our biggest months and right now we haven’t skipped a beat in planning our parties and getting reservations. So we are way excited for December and celebrating Christmas at the Yellowstone Hotel,” says Willmore.

‘Old Town Pocatello’ officials say The Bridge is a very important addition to the downtown area.

“What the Bridge is going to bring is new life to a historic building. The Yellowstone Hotel, you know we are so excited to see the main floor. The entire main floor on that building renovated and operational once again,” Stephanie Palagi, Old Town Pocatello official says.

The Bridge plans to have the bar open in time for the ‘Old Town Pocatello’ Christmas light parade.

The restaurant’s grand opening is set for the first part of December.
