One person ejected from car after rollover crash near Shelley

The following are news releases from the Idaho State Police.

SHELLEY — Idaho State Police are investigating a one-vehicle, rollover crash on Interstate 15 at milepost 109, near Shelley.

The accident occurred at about 4 a.m. Monday.

Eric Brumbaugh Rodriguez, 21, of San Angelo, Texas, was northbound in a 2006 Nissan pickup. Brumbaugh Rodriguez lost control of the vehicle on the icy roads. The vehicle went off the left shoulder into the median and rolled.

A passenger in the vehicle, Morgan Rupp, 22, of West Valley, Utah, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Brumbaugh Rodriguez and another passenger Victoria Atkinson, 19, of Placerville, California were wearing seatbelts. All occupants were transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

One northbound lane was blocked for approximately four hours while the crash was investigated.

Man and three juveniles hospitalized after crash

POCATELLO — Idaho State Police also are investigating a one-vehicle, rollover crash on Interstate 86 near milepost 55, west of the Pocatello airport.

The accident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Sean Lewis, 38, of Pocatello, was driving 2006 GMC Canyon pickup east on Interstate 86. Lewis attempted to make a lane change and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the road off the right shoulder and rolled.

Lewis and his three juvenile passengers were transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by ground ambulance. Lewis was wearing his seatbelt. The three passengers were not wearing seat belts.
