RIGBY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating a home invasion and shooting that occurred on Oct. 27.

Sheriff Steve Anderson says investigators believe when the homeowner discovered William Shinkle in his residence, a second unknown suspect crawled through a window and stole the homeowner’s truck.

The suspect fled the scene in the stolen vehicle prior to law enforcements arrival.

Shortly after, Jefferson County Deputies located the stolen unoccupied truck in an alley in Ririe, according to Anderson.

The truck is being processed for evidence and Jefferson County detectives are actively investigating all leads in this case with the assistance of Idaho State Police.

Anderson asks anyone with information on the case to contact Det. Johnson at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 745-9210.
