RIGBY– A local motorsports apparel company is looking to help others while involving its customers.

KLIM headquarters in Rigby is reaching out to the community to raise funds for children in war-torn circumstances.

“The intent of the fundraiser is to help children in need who have been displaced by war in Syria,” KLIM global logistics manager Joseph Miller said. “The motivation for this fundraiser is to get the community, our customers and employees involved.”

The initiative is being run through a new company program called KLIM Kares. KLIM Kares was launched this year to excite KLIM employees as well as the community about giving back.

“We’re striving to raise $5,000 with this fundraiser. It should substantially help with food, clothing, sleeping gear and things of that nature that they need,” Miller said.

KLIM has partnered with Save the Children, an organization that invests in children in crisis all over the globe.

“Save the Children is a very reputable company. Almost 90 percent of their proceeds actually go to the programs themselves,” Miller said.

Every customer who donates $10 will get a raffle ticket. The grand prize winner receives $600 worth of KLIM gear. Second place winner gets $300 of gear and third place gets $200 of equipment.

“The gear that’s going to be raffled is the customers choice. Anything that we have available in stock they’ll have access to,” Miller said.

The raffle will take place form Dec. 9 to 16. Prize winners will be announced Dec. 19.
