IDAHO FALLS — Authorities arrested a 38-year-old Idaho Falls man Tuesday for felony enticing a child through the internet.

Police reports show that during the month of December, Ludyn M. Lopez exchanged inappropriate Facebook messages with a 15-year-old Idaho Falls girl.

Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen said police received an anonymous tip about the online dialogue Tuesday.

“We talked with the girl and viewed some of the messages, and there was enough probable cause to arrest him that day,” Hansen said.

Information regarding how Lopez knew the girl was unavailable, Hansen said.

Lopez was arrested, with the assistance of the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, at his work in the 4000 block of East Lincoln Road, according to a news release.

He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail and was held on a $75,000 bond as of Wednesday morning.

Lopez is due in court Wednesday afternoon.
