Winter storm upgraded; wind advisory issued
Published atIDAHO FALLS — The National Weather Service has expanded a winter weather advisory to encompass a large section of eastern Idaho.
All or portions of the following counties are under the advisory: Clark, Fremont, Madison, Teton, Bonneville, Bingham, Bannock, Caribou, Bear Lake and Oneida. The storm extends into western Wyoming and northern Utah, which are also under a winter weather advisory. Some 2 to 4 inches of snow are expected in areas above 6,000 feet. Less than two inches are expected in the valleys.
NWS officials predict difficult travel due to slick roads — especially on passes and lesser traveled roads near the Wyoming border.
