Idaho Falls Police investigating UPS truck burglary

IDAHO FALLS — Thieves left several packages opened after breaking into a parked UPS truck on Wednesday morning.

Idaho Falls Police tell EastIdahoNews.com the driver of the UPS truck parked and locked his vehicle prior to entering the Grand Teton Mall to make a delivery.

The driver later returned and found the truck had been broken into with some sort of pry bar.

Police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen said between 20 and 30 packages were opened before the thieves fled on foot. Three of those packages were emptied.

Witnesses told police they saw at least two individual inside the truck and that they were later seen running from the truck, dropping packages on their way.

Idaho Falls Police are investigation the theft.
