Heat’s Chris Bosh Eying a Return to the Court Next Season

Heat’s Chris Bosh Eying a Return to the Court Next Season

NBA via Miami Heat(MIAMI) -- Even though he was forced to sit out the rest of the season due to blood clots in his lungs, the Miami Heat announced that All-Star forward Chris Bosh will be healthy and ready to return to the basketball court next season.

After a recent session with the media, Bosh admitted that he played with the clots for "three weeks probably" before his diagnosis.

Bosh vacationed with teammate Dwayne Wade in Haiti during the All-Star break, felt discomfort, and was then admitted to a hospital after his wife pushed him to do so.

"She saves my life on a daily basis," Bosh said with a grin. "I was in a lot of pain, and it got to the point where I kind of had to swallow my pride a little bit. It's an athlete thing. We're always trying to be superheroes out there all the time. I had to put my pride to the side. Usually the woman is going to be the first to do that. I went ahead and bit the bullet and went to the doctor."

Fortunately for Bosh, he'll be able to resume his basketball career.

The 30-year-old Bosh is a 12-year NBA veteran and is in his fifth season with the Heat.

Report: Heat’s Chris Bosh May Miss Rest of Season with Blood Clots in Lungs

Report: Heat’s Chris Bosh May Miss Rest of Season with Blood Clots in Lungs

NBA via Miami Heat(NEW YORK) -- Even though the Miami Heat are still riding high after their acquisition of Goran Dragic from the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, the Miami Herald reports that forward Chris Bosh may miss the rest of the season with blood clots in his lungs.

Bosh was recently admitted to a Miami-area hospital after meeting with a doctor regarding recent discomfort he was experiencing. Initial tests proved inconclusive, but the fear is that he has blood clots in his lungs and could be forced to miss the rest of the regular season and the playoffs.

According to Heat guard Dwayne Wade, the 30-year-old Bosh had not felt well since earlier in the All-Star break when the two vacationed together in Haiti.

A 12-year veteran, Bosh is in his fifth season as a member of the Heat.

During the offseason, Bosh signed a five-year, $118 million contract with the team. It is currently the largest guaranteed deal in the NBA.

Heat Forward Chris Bosh Out with Injured Calf

Heat Forward Chris Bosh Out with Injured Calf

NIBA via Miami Heat(MIAMI) --

As the Miami Heat look to keep their heads above water in the Eastern Conference playoff race, they'll be without forward Chris Bosh for a few games, possibly more, after he suffered a calf strain.

Bosh missed the team's game against against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, which Miami wound up losing.

Even though he has yet to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, Bosh still plans to meet with a team doctor Monday to have the injury reevaluated.

"We're just trying to see how my body responds," said Bosh. "It's one of those things that can get worse, if you don't take care of it. It can be a lot worse than it has to be. So we have to take this precaution right now."

The Heat, who have made the NBA Finals the past four seasons, are off to their worst start in seven years, at 11-13.

A lot of the team's struggles can be traced back to Lebron James' departure back to Cleveland, as well as injuries to starters Dwayne Wade and Luol Deng.

Bosh is off to his best start since joining the Heat prior to the 2010-2011 season. He's averaging 21.6 points and 8.2 rebounds in 23 games.

Curry Drops 40 on Heat

Curry Drops 40 on Heat

NBA via Golden State Warriors(MIAMI, Fl.) -- Stephen Curry lit up the Miami Heat Tuesday night as he led the Golden State Warriors to a 114-97 victory.

Curry finished the night shooting 12 of 19 from the floor, draining eight 3-pointers.

There had been some concern in the past couple days with Curry's shooting as he was 8 of 24 in his previous two games. Curry steadied those worries by finding open looks with the help of his teammates.

"Everything feels in rhythm," Curry said. "My bigs, Draymon Green, Mo Speights, Andrew Bogut set some great screens for me and I got a lot of space. When you see your first two or three go down, your confidence is at a high. Shots just appear and you have confidence to knock them down."

Heat forward Chris Bosh was utterly perplexed by the end result.  With 6:45 left in the fourth, his team was leading by two.

"We got to the end, we're in the bonus, you know 93-95 and we don't score anymore," Bosh said. "We just forget our offense and I don't know why."

The Warriors have now won six straight and are 11-2 on the season.

James Scores 35, Heat Tie Series

James Scores 35, Heat Tie Series

Andy Lyons/Getty Images(SAN ANTONIO, Texas) -- After two days of taking criticism for missing the final four minutes of a Game 1 loss, LeBron James scored 35 points and added 10 rebounds as Miami defeated San Antonio 98-96 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The Heat have won 13 straight postseason games after a loss, evening the series at one game apiece.

"What happened on Thursday was Thursday," said James after the win. "My whole focus was how I was going to try to help this team even this up and just try to make some plays."

One play he made was an assist to Chris Bosh for a go-ahead three at the 1:18 mark of the fourth quarter. That gave Miami a 95-93 advantage that they would not relinquish. A Dwayne Wade layup on a broken play upped the lead to five with nine seconds remaining to seal the deal.

The back-and-forth affair saw San Antonio lead by as many as eight points, and hold a one-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. While nursing an 87-85 advantage, both Tim Duncan and Tony Parker missed a pair of free throws midway through the frame. James followed with a three-pointer to take the lead and regain momentum.

Duncan finished the game with 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Spurs while Parker had a team high 21 points. Four different players for the Heat scored in double-figures. Game 3 is Tuesday night in Miami.

Heat Advance to Fourth Straight NBA Finals

Heat Advance to Fourth Straight NBA Finals

Chris Trotman/Getty Images(MIAMI, Fla.) -- It was the same old story in Miami on Friday night as another dominating performance from the Heat led to another appearance in the NBA Finals. Miami defeated Indiana 117-92 in Game 6, clinching their fourth consecutive Eastern Conference Championship.

The Heat became just the fourth team, and third franchise ever, to reach four consecutive NBA finals. The last team to complete the feat was the Boston Celtics (1984-87). Now they look to become the first team since the Los Angeles Lakers (2000-2002) to win three straight NBA Championships.

Both LeBron James and Chris Bosh scored 25 points as Miami knocked out the Pacers for the third straight year in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat trailed 9-2 early but went on an 11-0 run to take a lead that they would not relinquish. With the win Miami set a franchise record with their 11th straight home postseason victory.

Indiana, which had led the Eastern Conference for most of the season, got 29 points from Paul George and another 16 from David West. Once again, Roy Hibbert was almost unproductive, scoring just eight points in the loss.

Miami led by as many as 37, their biggest margin at any point during the season. They now await the winner of the Western Conference Finals between Oklahoma City and San Antonio. The Heat beat San Antonio last season and took down the Thunder in 2012 to win their first of consecutive titles.
