(POCATELLO) – Union members and Democrats from around southeast Idaho gathered at the Labor Union Temple in Pocatello last night to sign a petition to get rid of the Students Come First Plan. Local News 8 reports that the Idaho Education Association needs 18,000 signatures to put the referendum on the 2012 ballot. The IEA has until June 1 to meet the minimum amount. Last night’s meeting added about 400.
