Fewer Humming Birds

(POWER COUNTY) – Cool weather isn’t just slowing down spring farming – migrating birds are slow to come back as well. Bird watchers near Rockland say about 150 to 200 hummingbirds have been counted so far this year. That’s down from nearly 500 hummingbirds at this time last year. In the mean time bird counters say they’re still gathering lots of valuable information about how birds are migrating regionally, as well as nationally.
