Expensive Stop Signs Go Up In American Falls

  Published at

(AMERICAN FALLS) – The standard stop sign costs tax payers a few hundred dollars — now imagine signs costing ten times that much. In American Falls, it’s a reality. Local News 8 reports that the city is placing four new high-tech stop signs where Hillcrest and Fort Hall Road meet Highway 39. The signs are much bigger with solar-powered LED lights. Transportation officials say the $3,000 signs are worth the high price to protect drivers, and should be up and running within the next two weeks.
