Idaho Ranks 2nd Lowest in Spending Per Student
Published at(BOISE) – Idaho’s public schools spend less money per student than almost every state in the country. According to new census data, Idaho schools were second only to Utah with just over $7,000 per year being spent on each student. The national average is about $10,500. Education officials say the figures are insignificant and do not accurately reflect the state’s commitment to student success and better classroom performance. Opponents argue the state isn’t doing enough.
