(REXBURG) – A Rexburg man is behind bars after police say he threatened to kill his wife and baby. 25-year-old Kristopher Corey Butcher, a BYU-Idaho student, became angry Friday night when his 3-month-old baby started to cry. Police say the man’s wife escaped from the apartment through a window and contacted police after the suspect locked her into a room. Butcher faces three misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment, injury to a child, and domestic battery.
