Rescue Teams Raise Awareness About Boater Safety

(POWER COUNTY) – Memorial Day is just a few days away, but here in eastern Idaho many people are raising awareness about staying safe on waterways. It’s all part of Safe Boating Week which runs through Friday. Officials say doing the simple things like wearing a life jacket can go a long way. Just last year four people drowned in the American Falls Reservoir, and rescuers say they want to see more people taking necessary precautions before heading out on the water this weekend.
