(SWAN VALLEY) – The landslide blocking the Snake River Canyon south of Jackson is boosting sales for a local business. Stopping at the Rainy Creek Store in Swan Valley is a tradition for tens of thousands of people every year. With traffic from Wyoming being detoured through the town, square ice cream sales are through the roof. Local News 8 spoke with several people passing through the area who said they were surprised to find something like this in eastern Idaho. Crews hope to have the canyon reopened by next Wednesday.
