Crashes Continue On Sunnyside

If you were recently headed West on Sunnyside, and traffic suddenly came to a halt, it was because of yet another accident. There have been 5 accidents on Sunnyside since May 31st alone. When questioned, Idaho Falls Police Sergeant, Dave Frei said of four of the accidents:
“Since May 31st we have had four accidents on Sunnyside. In two of them, drivers failed to yield before entering the roadway resulting in a crash. One was a driver who mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal causing a rear end collision. The fourth was a driver who ran a red light causing a roll-over collision.”
There is still no word on how the accident occurred on Sunnyside today around 12:20pm, but it looks as though allegedly ‘stopped-short’ and an AIT mini van and a TRIPTA van collided. The woman in the AIT min van was put in an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
