Home prices are down, but local realtors tell Local News 8 that this summer is a great time to consider buying a home. “If you’re buying a home get out there and buy it,” realtor Chalmers Haas said. “Nobody has a crystal ball but I think as we go through 2011, we will see interest rates increase, so I think you’re better off buying now rather than later.” Home prices are about 15 percent lower this year than they were at this time last year.
