(BLACKFOOT) – The state is working to help more than 70,000 unemployed Idahoans get jobs. It’s called the “Hire One Act,” and it’s a chance for businesses to get tax credits for adding workers. Local News 8 spoke with a number of people who say their happy about the plan. “Business conditions are improving,” said Will Jensen, a regional economist with the Department of Labor. “We’re just hoping to speed up that process of re-hiring again.” To be eligible for the credit, businesses have to hire new employees by March 31, 2013 and apply by Dec. 31, 2013.
