Officers on Leave After Shooting

Two Idaho Falls Police officers and two Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies are on administrative leave after a shooting last Friday. Idaho Falls police officer Malin Reynolds was shot pointblank in the chest, but was protected by his bulletproof vest. Officers then opened fire on the suspect, killing 50-year-old Douglas Walters, a registered sex-offender who was wanted on a misdemeanor charge.
