Tornado Reported West of Blackfoot

A string of thunderstorms and high winds moved through eastern Idaho yesterday afternoon, knocking over trees and even destroying a garage. KPVI reports that a funnel cloud was spotted in the Moreland area, though the National Weather Service did not indicate there was tornadic activity. Spotters reported seeing penny-sized hail in some areas as well as winds in excess of 50 miles per hour. Brook Hudson, who saw the possible twister, says she’s just happy her family is safe.
