Idaho Falls Businesses Burglarized

The Idaho Falls Police Department is investigating two burglaries that occurred at local businesses in the last two days.

The Chinese Super Buffet, located at 1736 N. Yellowstone Ave., was broken into early Wednesday morning and the Liquor Store, located at 190 E. First St., was burglarized just after midnight on Thursday.

According to reports, the Chinese Super Buffet owners reported the burglary to police around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The burglar obtained access to the building from a window on the west side.

The theft occurred sometime after 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The owners told police that a few hundred dollars in cash and a laptop computer were taken from the restaurant.

Early Thursday morning, officers responded to the Liquor Store for an active burglar alarm. Upon arrival officers found a broken window, but no one was inside. Items in the store were missing.

During the investigation, officers determined through surveillance tape that at least two suspects had been inside the store. One was wearing a dark shirt with vertical white stripes.

Anyone with information about either burglary is asked to contact the IFPD at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
