Man behind bars for violent crimes

KPVI – A Twin Falls man is behind bars in Bannock County facing numerous felony charges related to a violent crime earlier this week. The Pocatello Police Department says Robert F. Huber, 43, was arrested Thursday following an investigation by detectives. Acording to reports the incident happened on the night of July 4th between Huber and his 46-year-old girlfriend. Huber is facing five felony charges including: intimidating a witness, false imprisonment, rape, domestic battery, and attempted strangulation. Huber is also facing a misdemeanor count of disrupting a 911 call. Police say Huber’s girlfriend was treated by paramedics on the scene for minor injuries and refused to go to the hospital. The crime wasn’t reported to authorities until two days later and then police contacted Huber. After an interview with detectives the suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the Bannock County Jail.
