(MORELAND) – Dry weather is wreaking havoc on grain crops in Texas and the Midwest, but local grain producers say the outlook is good in Idaho. Mid August is a dusty time around eastern Idaho, with grain harvest in full swing. Local News 8 reports that grain prices are steadily rising, which means good news for farmers and the local economy. Experts say the nation will still be feeling the effects of this season’s drought well into next year.
