Fire Burns Near Howe

(HOWE) – A section of Idaho Hwy. 33 was closed for nearly two hours Monday afternoon as a brush fire burned in the Howe Peak area. Bulldozers and air tankers fought the flames, which had burned over 120 acres by Monday evening. Two Rocky Mountain Power poles were damaged in the fire, though no other buildings have been damaged. The cause of the fire is unknown.
